The Real Stuff About Beth: Age: 40's -- old enough to have several humbling experiences and young enough to know the best is yet to come. Family: Happily married to John. I have three inspiring teenagers .... Christopher, Michael and Anna, and I am honored to be Step-Mom to John and Philip. Spirituality: Christian, open-minded and sensitive to others. I am sometimes considered a "spiritual misfit." I consider it a compliment to be sure of my own path and also respectful of others. Some things I have a
heart for: underdogs, rushing rivers, books, quiet times, Tennessee Vols
football, good wine, reading in bed, casual entertaining with friends, leisure walks, a
nice cup of tea, 15 minute naps, classical music, swimming laps, kids laughing, constant
learning, spiritual retreats, villages in Europe, radar detectors. Some things that irk me: rudeness, injustice, loud TV and radio, traffic jams, arrogance, clutter, not being organized, yard work (is that called gardening?), interruptions, complicated details, gossip, things that do not work properly. Cool moments: Collaborating on the video message I worked for with 2002 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Jimmy Carter, for the International Coach Federation. Want to see it? Check out: http://www.coach-federation.org/html/conference/pastevents.cfm Now that was cool! I am also very stunned and humbled to be the recipient of the 2003 Jen White Creative Spirit Award from the International Coach Federation. I am very active in the International Coach Federation (see www.coachfederation.org ) and am working toward my credential as a master certified coach (MCC). I was an ICF Conference Chair/Leader from 2002-04. I have led many workshops and teleclasses, as well as facilitated group assessment and the newly developed Print Survey. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Official Stuff: Professional
Experience: I am very active in the International Coach Federation (see www.coachfederation.org ) and am working on toward my credential as a master certified coach (MCC). I have led many workshops and teleclasses, as well as facilitated group coaching experiences. I also facilitate conversations based on the prestigious DISC behavior assessment. The following information is taken from various reliable behavior and personality assessments:
Meyers Briggs Personality: ENFJ (extrovert, intuitive, feeling, judgment) DISC Behavior Assessment: I/S (Influence, Steadiness) MY SIGNATURE THEMES based on StrengthFinder: Connectedness: People strong in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links between all things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has a reason. Belief: People strong in the Belief theme have certain core values that are unchanging. Out of these values emerge a defined purpose for life. Woo: People strong in the Woo theme love the challenge of meeting new people and winning them over. They derive satisfaction from breaking the ice and making a connection with another person. Positivity: People strong in the Positivity theme have an enthusiasm that is contagious. They are upbeat and can get other excited about what they are going to do. My Needs: honesty, respite, order, to be loved, to be valued, to be filled with Spirit. Values: learning, touch, having fun, coach, nurture. Spiritual Gifts: exhortation, faith, miracles, apostleship. Stephen Minister: I have been trained (50+ hours) and commissioned to be a Stephen Minister. In addition, I have completed an intense week-long Stephen Minister Leadership Training that allows me to facilitate training to other lay persons who are called to be Stephen Ministers. Stephen Ministry is a program that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both within a congregation and the community. Stephen Ministers are committed Christian people who express God's care through their lives to others. Reiki Practitioner: I have completed Level I and Level II Reiki training. Reiki is an ancient technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life. I am also trained in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). EFT is another ancient healing method. It centers on the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotion is a disruption in the body's energy system. EFT restores the energy system to it's natural healing state. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Looking
